NC – Valley Strong Disaster Relief continues efforts months after Tropical Storm Helene
BLACK MOUNTAIN – Nearly three months after Tropical Storm Helene hit Western North Carolina, a relief hub in Black Mountain is still seeing as many as 200 cars a day come through, their occupants looking for supplies.
Valley Strong Disaster Relief is located inside and behind Silverados, a music venue in Black Mountain. The idea started when Jenalee Tipton, a data manager at Community High School, had the “intuition” to help after the devastation Helene brought.
