A Disaster Recovery Center is a readily accessible facility or mobile office where applicants may go for information about disaster assistance programs. It serves as the “face” of FEMA to many disaster survivors.
Some of the services that a DRC may provide include:
– Guidance regarding disaster recovery
– Clarification of any written correspondence received
– Answers to questions, resolution of problems, and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance
– Status of applications being processed by FEMA
– Assistance with SBA applications
