      The agricultural community has been hit hard by Hurricane Helene. Many farmers in WNC face stresses and hardships that are immense, but they are not alone.

      The farmer crisis hotline is available, with operators that understand farm stress, at 919-542-1396 (press #1). The hotline is accessible Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

      Additionally, farm advocates are available for folks to access a network of family farm and rural support organizations. Farmers can contact 1-800-FARM-AID for support.
